With her father the Duke banished and in exile, Rosalind and her cousin Celia leave their lives in the court behind them and journey into the Forest of Arden. There, released from convention, Rosalind experiences the liberating rush of transformation. Disguising herself as a boy, she embraces a different way of living and falls spectacularly in love.

This   light-hearted comedy with plenty of romance and Shakespearean wit is a perfect winter pick-me-up. A fresh production, with contemporary staging, modern dress and stunning sets, makes this a very accessible Shakespeare piece.

With a young and dynamic ensemble cast and live singing from a 10-piece choir, this is an ideal introduction to Shakespeare for younger and family audiences.

Tickets are $20, $15 for students, $2 off for Orcas Center members, and may be purchased at www.orcascenter.org or by calling 376-2281 ext. 1 or visiting the Orcas Center Box Office open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from noon – 2 pm. $5 subsidized tickets available at the box office.
