OPAL annual meeting and community potluck

Join OPAL at Odd Fellows Hall on Tuesday, April 25, for its annual meeting at 5 p.m.

The meeting will be followed by a screening of a documentary film. After the film and a question and answer session with local OPAL homeowners will be a potluck dinner. “The Arch of Justice” is a 22-minute film about New Communities Inc. It is set in southwest Georgia and provides a different perspective on the Community Land Trust movement. Get a preview of the film at www.arcofjusticefilm.com/synopsis.

This event will be a good time to check in with OPAL’s staff, board members and homeowners.

The film is being screened by the ambassadors to the national community land trust organization called Grounded Solutions. Carla Stanley, Rusty Diggs and Eros Belliveau are OPAL homeowners and will host a question and answer session following the film.

For the potluck dinner: Bring a plate, bowl, and silverware. Last names A to H: Bring something warm. (entree, soup, etc.) Last names L to S: Bring something cool. (salad, fruit plate, cheese, etc.) Last names T to Z: Bring a sweet treat. Each dish should serve eight to 10 people.
