National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Weather Service issued a high wind hazard warning on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 9. The high winds caused debris riding the high tide to flow over Crescent Beach Road disrupting morning traffic.
The wind advisory will be in effect until 4 p.m. Thursday. Orcas will see a reprieve from the high winds for two days, with winds returning again on Sunday.
