Dolphin Bay Rd: win-win | Letters

"Rick Hughes dodged the bullet on the Dolphin Bay chip seal issue by embracing a win-win for the local residents and for us who enjoy the 'wilderness.'"

Rick Hughes dodged the bullet on the Dolphin Bay chip seal issue by embracing a win-win for the local residents and for us who enjoy the “wilderness.”

At least two miles south of Beatrice Lane will be kept muddy/dusty and washboardy just the way I have loved it for 38 years as my “wilderness wagon track” to the big city (Eastsound, that is) from White Beach.

I will continue to use that route, hopefully, to avoid the tourists particularly in the summertime. I certainly hope that it works out advantageously for those of you who live north of Beatrice Lane.

Now, please, no more talk of Dolphin Bay Road Chip Seal for the next 50 years (or so).
