Eight-year-old Reigan Molina and her family’s dog Mia, age five, enjoyed an afternoon on the lawn – and won the Islands’ Sounder pet look-alike contest. Community members voted on their favorite entries in the online contest. The winner received a $75 gift certificate to San Juan Propane. Mia is half beagle and half boxer, but her spots are a mystery. She was adopted from the Everett Animal Shelter last February on a quick, last minute stop. “We knew the second we met her that she was coming home with us,” says her family. Right: Ed Lago and his boxer Leon were the runners up. “Leon obviously gets his looks from Ed’s side of the family,” joked Ed’s wife, Keri.
