Susan Foulk was born July 17, 1934 in Cincinnati, OH to Sally Willock Scott and Robert Scott. She died June 24, 2025 at Covenant Living at the Shores, Mercer Island, WA. Her husband of 65 years, Robert (Bob) Charles Foulk, passed away in October 2024. Sue is survived by her sister, Judith Jones as well as her children Scott, Stacey (Doug), Jamie (Noël); and grandchildren Rob, Katie, Rachel, Meghan, Cory, Samantha, Emma and Kelly. Sue was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Having her entire family together was her “most favorite thing to do”. We will miss her! Sue attended Minneapolis Public Schools and graduated from Southwest High School in 1952. Sue then attended the University of Colorado where she was a proud member of the Delta Gamma sorority. After graduating and while teaching in the Denver Public School system she met her future husband Bob while pursuing her passion for skiing. She and Bob would ski into their 80’s! The couple was married June 14th, 1959 in Edina, Minnesota. Bob’s career as a mining engineer with Ingersoll-Rand took the couple to Canada where their family lived for twelve years. In 1974, the family moved to Bellevue, WA. When the children were older, Sue worked as a realtor until the couple retired to Orcas Island in 1996, building a waterfront home in Deer Harbor. They loved island life and lived there until 2021. During their retirement, they were able to ski in Colorado, volunteer two weeks annually at the Malibu Young Life camp in BC, host house parties at Sun Valley during the Jazz Festival, and were active in the Deer Harbor Community Club and Orcas Island Community Church. Sue was a committed and faithful follower of Jesus Christ and was so grateful for a full and blessed life.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Covenant Living at the Shores, Mercer Island, August 14th, 2025 followed by a family graveside ceremony at Woodlawn Cemetery on Orcas Island where Sue will be placed next to her beloved husband. We ask that those who wish to make memorial donations to please give to Young Life, Bellevue area (WA44) at giving.younglife.org.
