Police still investigating flower stand destruction

Many in Eastsound heard what sounded like an explosion on the night of July 10.

The following morning, a flower stand near the back entrance to Camp Orkila on Enchanted Forest Road had been vandalized with what appeared to be explosives.

But local deputies are not convinced the two incidents are related.

“The explosion sound may or may not have been part of that (the flower stand destruction),” said deputy Bruce Distler. “It is currently under investigation.”
