Restore garden tools for spring
Published 5:43 pm Friday, February 10, 2012
Today would have been a good day to start preparing the garden for another year. Are you ready for this? Do your pruners and loppers need lubrication and sharpening, your favorite trowel handle need sanding and a fresh coat of oil?
The Orcas Garden Club is hosting a workshop at the Eastsound Fire Station on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 pm. The club will provide the items necessary to restore garden tools to their former glory. Bring your clean but not-so-shiny garden tools, a pair of gloves to protect your hands, safety goggles if you have them, a sack lunch, and some elbow grease. This workshop is free to Garden Club members.
