Olga Community Club supper to host JP and the OK Rhythm Boys

Absolutely wonderful aromas will announce the delicious casseroles and cakes baked for this month’s Olga Community Club Potluck Supper, organizers say. Attendees are asked to bring a side dish, salad or dessert to accompany the ham provided by the club. At the Saturday, March 13 dinner, social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m., and entertainment by the exceedingly fine group, J.P. and the OK Rhythm Boys, will begin at 7:30 p.m.

J.P. Wittman, a well-known northwest fiddler, has played on Orcas Island numerous times and has brought many happy hours of foot-stomping music to island venues. Wittman will be backed up by none other than those inimitable, lovable, virtuoso musicians Anita Orne and Gordon Koenig.

February’s mini book sale was greatly enjoyed, and so by popular request the March potluck will also host a sale, with proceeds put toward the club’s “Kitchen Remodel Fund”. Attendees are requested to bring popular paperbacks, recent hardbacks, and special fine books. All are welcome to come for good books, fun conversation, fine food, and great music.
