Volleyball

The Lady Vikings took on Mount Vernon Christian, at home, on Oct. 22. Unfortunately, the team, after 3 close games, fell short and lost to the Hurricanes 0-3.

On Oct. 24, Friday Harbor came to Orcas, for the “Pink Out” game. It was a close match all the way until the end, but with the help of the fans, the Vikings were able to finish with a victory of 3-2.

On Oct. 29, the team will be at home again facing Darrington for the senior game, and head off to La Conner for their last league game on Oct. 30.

Girls’ soccer

After a week off from games the Lady Vikings faced off against Mount Vernon Christian, at home, on Oct. 22. The team fought hard, but fell short and lost 0-6.

On Oct. 24, Friday Harbor came to Orcas and the Vikings competed hard, but lost to the Wolverines 0-1. On Oct. 26, the homecoming game, the Vikings played against La Conner and on the 30, they head to La Conner to face off again, to end their league season.

Boys’ soccer

On Oct. 18, The Vikings went to Providence Classical Christian,and played a game that went into overtime with a score of 0-0. During the second half of overtime, August Groeninger headed the winning goal into the net off of Daniel Keyes’ throw in. The Vikings finished with a score of 1-0.

On Oct. 26, the team faced La Conner, at home for this year’s Homecoming game, and then on Oct. 29, the team will play Lopez, at home, for their final league game, as well as their senior game before they head off into districts with the number one spot from our league.

Cross Country

The Vikings have been working hard day after day, getting ready for Districts. On Saturday, Nov. 2, the team will head to South Whidbey to compete against many teams in order to fight for a spot to Sate.
