Orcas High School Vikings Golf season came to an end last week with two players going to State Championships.

Roo Smith and Mara Nutt played at the Oakbrook golf course in Lakewood, Wash.  Both are juniors and shot respectable scores the first day but failed to make the cut the second day play.

“I am excited for these two and the rest of the team,” said Coach Dan Drake. “Next year we should have even more players trying to qualify for state. The team is filled with enthusiasm and great attitudes. They have been a joy to coach this year.”

Parks and Rec will be offering a golf clinic  in July this summer.

Some of the Orcas High team members will be teaching the course.
