In this coming year of Viking sports we have a diverse of individuals on the golf team.

From talented returning players seeking a state berth to hopeful beginners discovering the great joys of golf, the Orcas Island Golf team is out on the course ready for their matches to begin. Led by Coach Dan Drake, co-captain William Coe and Roo Smith, the team is feeling optimistic about their enjoyment levels on the course.

The match at Similk on March 18 looks like the start of a great season. We played with some great golfer including ourselves, learned a lot, and had a lot of fun at the course. Playing with people from other schools helped our performance and created new relationships. The other students were very encouraging and offered a lot of help to some of the new players. From first match nerves to the seasoned veterans, the Vikings Golf Team looked and acted like professionals out on the course. Overall, the Viking team started off a great season enjoying an outstanding game. All players are very excited about the golf season to take off, and are prepared to do whatever it takes to have a great time.
