San Juan County septic system classes full through 2008
July 16, 2008 · 12:53 PM
San Juan County’s Environmental Health Manager Mark Tompkins reports that all of the County’s scheduled septic system inspection classes have been filled through December.
“The response has been overwhelming,” Tompkins said. “By the end of the year we will have certified between 600 and 700 individuals.” The certification authorizes individuals to inspect and file the required health department reports on septic systems on their own property. The alternative is to have a certified professional perform the inspection at a cost of $350 to $600
Tompkins says the Health Department is now preparing a full schedule of classes for 2009.
