December 3, 2012 · 9:33 AM

High school basketball players will be shooting for dollars Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. at the annual “Hoop Shoot” fundraiser event to help support high school athletics.

Each player will get to take three shots in each position, earning a certain dollar amount per basket. A swish from half-court earns $25; an NBA three-pointer, $20; a regular three-pointer, $15; a free throw, $10; and each lay-in earns $5.

There will be parent and spectator contests as well if people want to dust off their basketball shoes and come participate or they can just watch the fun. There will also be opportunities to sponsor a basket.
