Our library is awesome. It is an institution of learning, inspiration and imagination for us all. From young children to our seniors we all benefit from this place to dream and learn. And… we use it. In fact, we are number two in the state for user visits per capita and number three in checkouts. Next week we are being asked if we will support an increase in the levy to support this remarkable institution. This increase is equivalent to the cost of a couple of books annually for most of us. Our state, and hundreds of incredible islanders have raised $3.5 million for the exciting expansion that is taking place, now it is time for us to finish this community effort and pass this levy so that we may all enjoy this expanded space that will provide even more services, books and dreams.
