Thank you to the volunteers, businesses and participants who made this year’s Shakespeare Festival a success.

The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the following sponsors: Gudgell Properties, Islanders Bank, Island Market, Islands’ Sounder, Orcas Food Coop, Orcas Village Store, Christina Orchid of Red Rabbit Farm, Landmark Inn and the San Juan County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee.

The festival was coordinated by artistic director Robert Hall, stage manager Regina Zwilling, costume coordinator Keri Lago, chamber director Lance Evans and volunteers Colleen Smith Armstrong, Tom Fiscus, Michael Armenia, April Duke and Susan Gudgell.

Without the actors, performers and musicians, none of this would have been possible. Thank you to Burke Mulvany, Gillian Smith, Tom Fiscus, Colleen Smith Armstrong, Michael Armenia, April Duke, Robert Hall, Regina Zwilling, Katie Zwilling, Sukima Hampton, Cali Bagby, Mandi Johnson, Doug Bechtel, Michele Griskey, Frank Michels, Lynda Sanders, Carolyn Fiscus, Kristen Wilson, Donna Riordan, Jane Alden, Priscilla Velasco, Christopher Evans, Evan Skye Hovelman, Carl Burger, Tre Voci, the Crow Valley String Band and the many parade participants, particularly the Odd Fellows.

Thank you to local venues Random Howse and Odd Fellows for providing a beautiful space to perform. Thank you to Orcas Center, Orcas High School drama class, Jake Perrine, Orcas Island School District and the Orcas Island Education Foundation for putting on “A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Abduction).”

Thank you to everyone who came out for the festivities on the green and the parade. Jennifer Pietsch of the Orcas Farmers’ Market made sure vendors were lined up for the day.

And a big thank you to the community for valuing the arts. May the spirit of the bard live on!
