I want to give everyone who was part of presenting the Women’s League of Voters Candidates Forum on Orcas Island a huge thank you! It is such a pleasure to hear from such a range of candidates, in person.

In the race for our U.S. Representative in Congress, Larry Kalb stands out as a thoughtful, respectful, hard-working, highly-educated person, who is willing to think outside the box. He has personally lived overseas, and has experienced effective public transit and health care systems which far surpass our systems. He will work for jobs based on the "made in America" model, health care for all citizens equal to that of Congressional members, a 20 percent reduction in the bloated military budget, the creation of a "green New Deal," sensible trade policies and - last but not least - publicly financed political campaigns.

Larry is the real deal and will be a principled leader and a positive force for necessary change in Congress. Our nation has very serious problems that require a change from "business as usual" politics and Larry represents that change very well. Please join me in voting for Larry Kalb.
