Thomas Allan Temple passed away unexpectedly on or about Aug. 19, 2017 at his home on Crane Island.
Born Sept. 15, 1938, he grew up in the Puget Sound region where he graduated from Highline High and later attained a university degree from WSU and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Tom worked at a variety of businesses, including Boeing, Honeywell, Rocket Research, and his own business, Penryn. Known as the wizard, he retired in 2002.
He is survived by his daughter, Gail Temple and his son Allan Temple (Liz), and his two sisters, Gail Jonas and Alice Rockhill (King). Tom was known for his outgoing personality, his sailing skills, and his “punny” humor.
A no-host celebration of Tom’s life will be held in the Lower Tavern, Eastsound on Orcas Island, on Sept. 30 from 2 to 4 p.m. Family and friends are invited to bring photos and fun stories.
