OPALCO headquarters temporarily moves back to original 1930s office

Submitted by Orcas Power and Light Cooperative.

The septic system for OPALCO’s 1970s Eastsound offices has failed. The headquarters building will be closed for about six months beginning Sept. 10 to replace the system and repair the building.

The Eastsound office will temporarily relocate to the original historic headquarters building at 45 Mt. Baker Road (the old dentist office) during construction and will be open for business as usual beginning Sept. 16.

The Eastsound offices will be completely closed for the move September 10-13, but all member services will be available through our Friday Harbor office. Call 360-376-3500. The bill drop box at the Eastsound building will continue to accept payments.

The OPALCO team thanks you for your patience during this (messy) construction project!
