Ronald Bruce Killorn of Friday Harbor has been charged with five counts of unlawful possession of a firearm in the second degree.

Killorn’s arraignment is on Friday, Feb. 10 in San Juan County Superior Court.

Deputies served Killorn, 40, a protection order at his residence on Nov. 12, 2016. A condition of the order was to surrender firearms. According to the probable cause report, Killorn was cooperative and produced a handgun, three rifles and shotgun from the bedroom of his home. None were loaded and deputies didn’t find any ammunition in the house. The guns were inventoried and placed into evidence at the sheriff’s office.

In checking Killorn’s criminal record, officers discovered he had felony convictions in 1994 for theft in the second degree and in 1996 for attempting to elude a police officer. It is illegal for a convicted felon to possess a firearm.

Killorn’s other previous convictions are driving with a suspended license; minor operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol; reckless driving; and minor in possession of alcohol.
