Friday Harbor man charged with burglary, theft, forgery

Jerad Alan Grey, 34, of Friday Harbor, has been charged with residential burglary, second degree theft and forgery.

His arraignment is scheduled for Friday, May 19 in San Juan County Superior Court.

According to the probable cause statement, on Feb. 6, 2017, Grey allegedly drove to the residence of an acquaintance in Friday Harbor with the intent to sell him tools.

According to a witness, Grey had allegedly stolen the tools from someone else and wanted to use the money from selling them to purchase heroin and methamphetamines.

Grey entered the victim’s residence and found him sleeping. He is accused of stealing checks belonging to the victim and cashing a forged one for $800 and another for $1,200.
