Influenza – Flu – season is soon approaching. The Centers for Disease Control (www.cdc.gov) recommend getting your flu shot starting now for the 2019-2020 flu season.

Orcas Family Health Center would like you to be protected from influenza for as long as possible throughout the flu season. Our providers recommend getting your vaccination mid-November. Special considerations can be made if you are traveling sooner.

We will be offering influenza vaccination clinics starting Nov. 5 for adults 19 years of age and over. For those adults 65 years of age and older and if recommended by your provider, we will offer the high-dose Fluad vaccination. Please call and schedule a provider consultation if you wish to receive the high-dose flu shot and did not get one last year.
