From the San Juan County Fire Marshal’s office

Due to the recent rains in the state the San Juan County Fire Marshal’s Office is cancelling the burn ban for recreational camp fires. This means that camp fires in fire bowls or pits two foot in diameter are once again allowed in San Juan County. Please remember that campfires are to be ignited with only dry firewood, not scrap wood or yard debris. Please also remember to put the fires “dead out” with water when you will be leaving them unattended. Have a great fall and stay safe.
