From June 26 to July 9 Orcas Island Fire & Rescue responded to four outdoor burn investigations, two illegal burn piles and one alarm activation.

On the medical side they handled one remote landing zone set-up for AirLift Northwest, five cardiac

calls, one serious motor vehicle crash, one stroke, two falls on island trails, three pediatric traumas, one bee sting, three public assists and 16 other medical

calls. Including the remote landing, nine patients were transported to mainland hospitals by AirLift Northwest.
