Register to vote by Oct. 3
September 29, 2008 · Updated 10:27 PM
The U.S. presidential election is just around the corner, and the deadline to register to vote is 30 days before Nov. 4, 2008.
Mailed registration forms must be postmarked by the 30-day cutoff or they will not become effective until after the election.
Registration forms are available at the Orcas and Lopez public libraries.
If you are not already registered to vote in Washington state and you miss the 30-day deadline, you can register in person at your county elections department until 15 days before the election.
