Members of the Orcas Island Fire Dept attended a HoverCraft familiarization presentation given by the Canadian Coast Guard. The fire department has an agreement with its neighbors to the North for emergency response and water rescue. This powerful craft traveled from Vancouver to Orcas in approximately 60 minutes.
