Seeking vendors for wedding fair
June 17, 2008 · Updated 5:56 PM
The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce is presenting its second annual Orcas Island Wedding Fair Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006. The Chamber hopes the fair will draw wedding planners and interested engaged couples from throughout the Northwest to the island to see what is available to those planning a destination wedding.
Vendor opportunities are available to businesses throughout the islands. The fair would be of interest to those businesses or individuals which provide locations for weddings, rehearsal dinners or receptions, caterers, restaurants, cake makers, wedding officiates, churches, florists, event planners, photographers, beauty salons, musicians, lodging for wedding parties, honeymooners, etc.
The fair will be held at the Rosario Resort Discovery House, with a Bridal Salon in the Rosario mansion music room. It is expected to draw 300 or more visitors to the island.
The Orcas Chamber is partnering with a Seattle-based event planner to procure big-name sponsorship and produce high-quality, high-visibility advertising for this event.
The Orcas Chamber will also be sharing a booth at the Seattle and Portland Wedding shows this January, where it will hand out flyers about its Wedding Fair.
Vendor space is limited, so those wishing to participate should register as soon as possible. Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are also available. In addition, the Chamber is looking for food and wine businesses interested in providing samples of their products at the food and wine-tasting reception to be held at the Orcas Center that evening.
Visit the wedding webpage on the Chambers website at www.OrcasIslandChamber.com/wedding for information and a registration form. One can also call the Orcas Chamber at 376-2273 or email info@OrcasIslandChamber.com.
