Welcome New Year at dance

Dancers and merry makers will welcome in the year "0h 6!" in a truly festive manner at Orcas Center's Madrona Room. The annual New Year's Ball will be held from 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31 until 1 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1. The sponsoring Orcas Dance Club promises the typical sumptuous buffet dinner at 10 p.m. Free champagne at midnight and the usual goofy hats and noisemakers will greet the new year.

Music will be provided by the always popular Trish Hatley combo, offering a wide variety of swing and Latin music.

Tickets are $60. Checks should be mailed to Orcas Dance Club, c/o Linda Westerman, P.O. Box 1051, Eastsound, WA 98245.
