John Trumbull of Roses Bakery Cafe will host a wine and cheese tasting fundraiser for education Thursday, Dec. 1, to raise money for Salmonberry School's Scholarship Fund and the Children's House Infant-Toddler facility.

The wine and cheese tasting will begin at 6:30 p.m., and will include a silent auction. Cost for the event is $50 per person.

All proceeds will directly benefit the two schools. Salmonberry School offers scholarships to nearly half of its current student population.

Trumbull is a wine connoisseur as well as the executive chef at Roses. He is highly respected both personally and professionally in the Pacific Northwest, and especially here on Orcas Island. Trumbull has been putting his heart into planning the palette of this fundraiser.
