Hit-a-thon is baseball fundraiser

Orcas Viking 2005 baseball players and coaching staff will host the sixth annual Vikings Hit-a-thon at Buck Park Saturday, March 19 at 9 a.m.
The team is asking for support in the form of pledges per foot for hits by Orcas baseball players Each player will get three hits, and the longest hit times ones pledge amount will be the donation.
Money raised at the Hit-a-thon will go to improve the baseball program on Orcas Island.
Check out the fun March 19. Meet the players and coaches, and have coffee and baked goods in the dugout. Following the Hit-a-thon stay and enjoy the Vikings opening games, a double header against Tacoma Baptist at 11 a.m.
