Two remain hospitalized, one accident victim was released

Deane Gates, the driver of the vehicle in which Christa Harvey was killed April 4, remains in serious condition, and in the intensive care unit at Harborview Hospital in Seattle as of Monday afternoon, April 12. Jesse Velikanje, a passenger in the vehicle, was listed in satisfactory condition, while David Flynn was released from the hospital last week and is now at home, according to a spokesperson at Harborview.

Christa Harvey died when the car driven by Gates crashed into several trees while the vehicle was attempting to make a turn from Terrill Beach Road onto Mount Baker Road.
