Grammy nominee Jovino Santos Neto, Rio de Janeiro-born and Seattle-based pianist and flutist, will perform at Lopez Center for Community and the Arts (LCCA) Saturday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m. to benefit the Lopez Center Piano Fund. "The barriers between classical music, jazz, and indigenous Brazilian music have been obscured through the playing of Santos Neto," says allmusic.com. "I believe in the power of music and in its role as a tool for transformation," said Santos Neto in a late-90's interview.
Advance tickets are $12, concert day, $15 and youth $6. Tickets can be purchased at Islehaven Books, Blossom Natural Foods, Paper Scissors on the Rock and LCCA (468-2203.)
