Report finds San Juan is Washington's healthiest county

A report released Wednesday on wellness in nearly all the nation's counties says San Juan County is Washington's healthiest, based on indicators like premature deaths, low birth-weight babies, obesity, unemployment, high school graduation rates and pollution. The county's relatively high motor vehicle crash rate was not included in the equation.
The county-by-county rankings are being developed for every state through a collaboration between the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute.
