Orcas Island resident Carlos José Camblor will host a screening of the film "Battle In Seattle" on Sunday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. at Doe Bay Resort cafe.

"This year, November 30 will mark the 10th anniversary of the WTO shutdown in Seattle," Camblor said.

According to Camblor, he was one of the thousands of "aimless activists in the streets on that supposedly historic day."

Camblor will share his experiences and provide commentary while screening the film on the eve of the 10th anniversary of the shutdown.

"Simultaneously mediocre and under-appreciated, Stuart Townsend’s 2007 film mixes fact and fiction, real footage and fabrication, and is ripe for critique as we 'celebrate' ten years passed since Seattle’s streets were filled with turtles and puppets and placards in the rain," Camblor said.
