Holmes given $8k scholarship

Dylan Holmes has been awarded a Carper Foundation for Orcas Island Schools Scholarship for $8,000 for the 2013-14 academic year at Eastern Washington University.

Dylan graduated from Orcas Island High School in 2011, where he was the Point Blank President.

At EWU, he was the president of hall council his freshman year, a community advisor his sophomore year and an administrative community advisor his junior year. He is currently a junior studying communications at EWU.

Dylan is the son of Tim and Marce Holmes of Eastsound.
