Orcas Island octopus graces Seattle Times photo section
An off-shore Orcas Island resident has taken the stage in the Seattle Times' photo section: a fiery orange, shy giant Pacific octopus nestled down in the sand and wedged beneath an overhanging rock shelf 60 feet underwater.
Maple Valley resident Todd Roberts captured the shot with his Canon PowerShot in an underwater case and with the help of a strobe.
