Every year, Islanders Bank sponsors the "Gear up for our Schools" campaign, which raises money to buy supplies for kids who wouldn't otherwise be able to be afford them.

"It's wonderful we're going to have something for those students who don't have what they need to start the school off," Freeman said. "New stuff can be a luxury for some families, but it means a lot to the kids. Thank to the whole community for donating."

Islanders Bank set up collection bins at the Office Cupboard, Island Market, and Ray's Pharmacy.
