Mark your calendar and join your community on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. for a Day of Caring for our island friends and neighbors. Our aim is to gather volunteer support to lend a hand to small projects that make a big difference to those in our community who need just a little extra help. Our project list has been complied by the local non organizations that United Way supports throughout the year such as our family and community resource and senior centers. The United Way Day of Caring is a one day volunteering event that promotes the spirit of helping others and building community. Can we do more? Yes. All we need is you!
