The Orcas Garden Club will welcome Dr. Carol Miles, known as a “Vegetable Specialist” as well as an associate professor at Washington State University on March 21 at 10 a.m.

Miles will provide recommendations for how to successfully grow a diversity of vegetable crops year round in our northwest climate. She will also discuss simple techniques to establish productive soil and how to irrigate efficiently. The Orcas Island Garden Club welcomes new members. Half-year memberships are now available. All attendees may enjoy treats during the social hour after the meeting.
