Star Wars IV (1977) fundraiser for the Sea View Theatre

Star Wars IV (1977) will be shown on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 4 p.m. at Sea View Theatre. Admission is free but there is a suggested donation of $10.

‘A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…” Luke Skywalker joins forces with a Jedi Knight, a cocky pilot, a wookie and two droids to save the galaxy from the Empire’s world-destroying battle-station, while also attempting to rescue Princess Leia from the evil Darth Vader.

Join your hosts Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia and watch the original 1977 version of Star Wars the way it was meant to be seen — on the big screen. We will be raffling off some fabulous Sea View prizes and giving away a prize for the best costume! All proceeds from donations will benefit the Sea View Theatre building restoration fund to purchase a new furnace.

The fundraiser is inspired by the movie showing at the Sea View this weekend: “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” (Friday, & Saturday, 7:30 pm). The Rebel Alliance makes a risky move to steal the plans for the Death Star, setting up the epic saga to follow. Rated PG-13.

The Mos Eisley Cantina (Sea View Lounge) will be open Friday, from 6-10 p.m. and Saturday, 3-10 p.m. Beer, wine and ciders will be available.
