Second Grande Derangement show added

Special $5 student tickets offered

Because the March 22, 7:30 p.m. presentation of Grand Derangement has sold out, Orcas Center has added a second show at 10 p.m. Tickets for the late show are $12 for adults, $5 for students and may be purchased at www.orcascenter.org or 376-2281 ext. 1.

Grand Dérangement performs a dynamic, high-energy show that includes traditional and contemporary tunes from French-speaking Canada, along with group and solo step dancing. Fusing traditional acoustic with electric sounds, folk tunes with rap, this group of talented performers deliver a unique, hybrid show.

While here, members of Grand Derangement will offer a Master Fiddle Class at 2 pm and a Master Step Dancing Class at 3 pm on Saturday, March 22. Both will be at Orcas Center and cost $10 per participant. Advance registration is not necessary.

This presentation is made possible with generous sponsorship funding from Washington Federal Savings. Orcas Center has received additional underwriting support from the TourWest program of the Western States Arts Federation, with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts, Rosario Resort, and Tom and Leslie Murdock.
