Run 5K at night for SAFE San Juans

Submitted by Safe San Juans

This twilight fun run will feature glow sticks, glow paint, a post-race party with music, food, raffle lottery tickets, family-friendly activities, and much more. Even if you want to walk the route or just come for the festivities starting at 8:30 p.m. SAFE on the Rocks will have something fun for everyone (suggested $10 event entry donation per family for those not walking/running).

Our three different dates and locations give residents and visitors on San Juan, Orcas and Lopez Islands the option to take part in the event in their own community, as well as travel to other islands if they want twice or three times the fun.

• Orcas Island: April 22 at Orcas Athletics at 8 p.m.

• San Juan Island: April 29 at San Juan County Fairgrounds at 8:15 p.m.

• Lopez Island: May 6 at Lopez Center for Community and The Arts at 8:15 p.m. The post-race family fun will begin at 8:30 p.m on all three islands.

Race entry is $25. All racers will receive a T-shirt, completion medal and other cool giveaways. Headlamps are required for participation and will be available for rent for a minimum donation of $5 if you do not have your own. For more info, contact your local SAFE San Juan Office or info@safesj.org. Orcas: 376-5979 San Juan: 378-8680 Lopez: 468-3788.
