Orcas Island artist Peter Carlson is presenting “The Passage of Time Through the Celestial Heavens,” a show of new paintings in the foyer at Orcas Center throughout the month of July. Carlson has been painting and showing across the states and Europe for nearly two decades and on the island for the last six years.

The 11 narrative oil paintings that make up the show are alive with the mystery and humility of this extraordinary place. The show will open with a reception on Friday, July 7 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. with an artist’s talk at 6:15 p.m. and will run through the end of the month. All are welcome.
