Orcas Center presents “Orcas Rising” a wonderful evening of talented island musicians performing at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 28 on the center stage. The event promises to be an easy-going, fun local sharing of music, replicating an island living room on stage.
“This evening is all about letting community members know that the Orcas Center stage is accessible for community members to do their thing,” said event organizer Didier Gincig.
Some of the performers were on stage when the Orcas Center first opened in 1986. In fact, Dave Roseberry will sing “Grandma’s Feather Bed” which he sang at the opening of the center.
“We’ve got a fun line-up and the makings for a great community show. We’ll have couches, comfortable chairs, cookies and tea on stage to create a feeling like you’re at home enjoying a music party,” Gincig said.
Don’t miss your chance to see Carl Burger with Marj Franke and Tish Knapp, Corey Wiscomb, Katie Wlaysewski, Dave Roseberry, Michael Hurwicz and Sharon Abreu, Danny Herasymchuck, Odd Fellows, bands Crab Bait and Cut Bait, Island all-star performers, surprise guests and more.
