Olga Symphony and Friends in concert

Join the Olga Symphony for their traditional Thanksgiving weekend concert at Orcas Center on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 29-30 at 7:30 p.m. Gordon, Melinda, JP, and Anita once more offer an evening of fine fashion and non-symphonic music, old favorites and new treasures. As they are wont to do, the Symphony will be bringing some friends along for the musical ride. Former Symphony member Dave “Z” Zoeller will be joining in and adding to the fun, as will Orcas Island’s favorite boyband, Brograss – Tashi and Kaj Litch. And what would an Olga Symphony and Friends concert be without the Hawaiian Nightingale, Mel Urbanozo? Fortunately, we don’t have to find out, because Mel will be there too!

Since its inception in 1983, the Olga Symphony has been bringing fun, beautiful, silly and poignant music to Orcas and beyond, singing, playing guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, bass, ukulele, saw … whatever they can lay their hands on. And, since 1983, all Olga Symphony proceeds are donated to island charities – this Thanksgiving show, for over 20 years, is no exception, benefitting Orcas Center and others.

Bring the whole family! Bring your friends, your neighbors, strangers off the street, there will be something for everyone and tickets are just $5 available at www.orcascenter.org, or by calling the Orcas Center box office at 360-376-2281.
