Many already know Mindy Kayl as an Orcas “local,” as she’s lived on Orcas for more than 25 years. As a substitute in the school district for the last five, she has gotten to know the district very well. You may have noticed her in the classrooms assisting teachers; filling in at the elementary front office or helping supervise lunch and recess. She is officially on the staff now as the OASIS office manager. She is replacing Anne Ha.
Kayl also operates a small farm in Crow Valley. She likes gardening and hanging out with her two dogs and a donkey – yes, a donkey named Sweetie!
“Mindy is committed to our local community and looks forward to serving the school district and the OASIS students,” says the district.
