New art shows at Orcas Center in February

“Manmade” will be in the lobby and “On and off the Wall” is in the Madrona Room of Orcas Center.

Intake for artwork is Wednesday, Jan. 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Orcas Center. An opening reception for the show will be held Friday, Feb. 3 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

All local, male artists are invited to submit their work for the Gallery Show and all other artists and invited to submit their work for the “On and Off the Wall” show.

All media will be accepted, including painting, photography, other wall art as well as three-dimensional work. Up to two pieces may be submitted. All wall art must be ready to hang, including hardware and wire. Three-dimensional pieces must be in a stable condition for mounting on provided stands. The works on display may be offered for sale if the artist so chooses.

The Visual Arts Committee offers monthly exhibits at the Orcas Center and welcomes and encourages all members of the Orcas Island community to participate and share their work. For further information or questions, call Leon Rosenblatt at 415-302-8116.
