Tinker, honorary mayor of Eastsound, would like to invite the community to take part in a gathering to discuss the health of the island community on Sunday, Sept. 9, from 3–5 p.m. at the SeaView Theater.
There systems in place for community needs that we are all proud of — the Food Bank, volunteer firefighters, schools, recycling programs and many many more. The community is now asking for a look into our island’s situation of needed drug prevention and healing.
We invite the groups who are already working towards these goals as well as ALL of our community members. Friends, parents, doctors, attorneys, counselors, officers, concerned neighbors, EMTs and teachers. We need a very broad look at our beloved island and its needs.
Let’s discuss together what steps are currently being taken, our laws in Washington state, our medical and emotional support and our hearts.
Donations are welcomed but not required.
