Mason bees are good native pollinators living with us on the islands. If you’d like to learn about the mason bee, island birds and what you can do to provide a good habitat for them please join the Orcas Island Garden Club on Dec. 14 at 10:30 a.m. at the Orcas Center to hear speaker James Ullrich. Ullrich is the president of the Wild Birds Unlimited in Gig Harbor and has a lot of helpful ideas on how to achieve a successful wildlife sanctuary in your own backyard.
