Viviane Coimbra, Martha Lum and Emma Thoron – all members of Orcas 4-H Fur and Feathers – attended the “Know Your Government” conference in Olympia over Presidents Day weekend sponsored by 4-H. The focus this year was pursuing justice. High school students from all 39 counties in Washington state learned about the justice system through mock trials taking over the Thurston county court house for the day. Next year the focus will be on the legislative process.
